WEDNESDAY FOOTBALL HEADLINES
***Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo
believes that his side were the better team in
their semi-final clash with Borussia Dortmund.
Jose Mourinho's side were 2-0 winners on
Tuesday night at the Bernabeu but lost 4-3 on
aggregate after trailing 4-1 from the first leg.
*** Jose Mourinho has given the clearest hint
yet that he could return to Chelsea this
summer following Real Madrid's exit from the
Champions League.
***Chelsea defender Gary Cahill is confident
the club has what it takes to finish in the top
four this season ahead of a difficult run of
fixtures.
***Former World Player of the Year Zinedine
Zidane has warned Tottenham that even a
monster 60million price tag will not stop
Real Madrid opening the bidding for Gareth
Bale this summer.
***Julio Cesar's future has yet to be decided
but a return to Brazil is not in the offing,
according to the Queens Park Rangers
goalkeeper's agent.

manager Jose Mourinho's future at the club.

***Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta feels
that the disproportionate sharing of
television money in Spain is hindering the
overall competitiveness of La Liga. Real Madrid

rights for last season's matches, with close
